Like a moth to a flame, I’m drawn to gardens and gardening-related events. Especially in the dead of winter, I seek escape to whatever gardening oases I can reach. If I can travel south, I find a garden there to visit. If there’s a garden show within reach, I immerse myself in it. In case you’re so inclined, I offer this list of garden shows and flower shows.

Originally, I intended to provide information about upcoming shows, but I failed miserably. After a show passed, I never managed to update information for the next year’s show. So, I’m trying a new thing: I’m listing shows I’m aware of along with the time of year that they have run historically. Shows move around, but each year they are usually within a month of the previous year’s date. I’m also linking to whatever websites seem most likely to provide current information about the shows. For example, if show information appears on a website that includes the year in its URL, I’ve sought an alternative URL that contains no calendar specifics.

So… this directory isn’t about specific upcoming events. Rather, it identifies events that have histories, and it links to sites where you can get specifics about when and where to attend.
